Introducing 16-year old powerhouse Mallrat.
Gearing towards total alt-scene domination comes Brisbane-based hip-hop powerhouse Mallrat, the elusive teen slaying rap/pop/electronic fusion with her debut offering ‘Suicide Blonde’. At just 16, the young artist has already sat pretty in the Triple J Unearthed High charts, added to rotation across community radio as well as being picked up by international tastemakers as a “one to watch”.
The self-professed ‘Hannah Montana of the rap game’ releases her home-made video edit for her debut single, produced by Tigerilla (Allday, Baro).
Dripping with nineties nostalgia and spawning a series of jump cuts, the clip features the likes of a pre-pubescent DiCaprio, the Ninja Turtles and a string of ‘90s babes rocking holographic everything.
With much more on the horizon showcasing her production chops, the obvious progression for this overachiever can only be upward bound.
